I haven't seen a better display of flower power in Chennai than the one in Pondy Bazaar. Turn left on to Thyagaraya Road from Mount Road, and a short distance down, just past the Thanikachalam Road signal, you'll see a wide display of blossoms on your left. And as with most negotiations in Pondy Bazaar, the price you pay will never leave you feeling like a blooming idiot.
My restless eye
Things about Chennai that i find interesting. That you might find interesting as well.

Amaravathi Restaurant

Amaravathi is a popular restaurant on Cathedral Road in Chennai. On the menu is a delicious spread of Andhra fare. Tastes range from spicy to super spicy to ... (sorry, I can't mention it here).
In the picture above, the calm before the storm.

Naidu Hall is the common man's "I do Hall" in Chennai. Clothes for all occasions, wallets and members of the family. The store is located on Thyagaraya Road in Pondy Bazaar, T-Nagar. The advertising lies on an unused sidewalk.

"No time", I said. And a few hours later. "Bloody hell!"
Billboards have been banned in Chennai, but outdoor advertising continues unabated.
This, a glimpse of Boag Road in T Nagar.
